Villanova and North Carolina’s battle for the National Championship title will go down in sports history as the most dramatic championship game of all time. Why you may ask?
A game that many expected to be a blowout ended up being one where both teams were neck-and-neck. Whether you were at the game on the edge of your seat or at home with your eyes glued to your screens, everyone was united to see who would be the team to claim the title as the National Champions. North Carolina Tar Heel, Marcus Paige, made the insane three point jump shot typing up the score by 74 to 74 with 4.7 seconds left in the game. However, this crunch for time to win did not stop Villanova Wildcat, Kris Jenkins, to shoot an unbelievable three point jump shot at the buzzer that lead the team to a 77-74 win against North Carolina on Monday night at the NRG Stadium in Houston. It may be years until you see another game like this one. Being that Villanova has not won a National title since 1983, this win is a huge deal for the Wildcats. Way to go Jenkins! You have deserved your bragging rights.
